This week, we put our Home Economics skills into practice by making our very own pitta bread pizzas. We began by discussing the importance of food hygiene and safety, making sure we washed our hands thoroughly and prepared our workspaces carefully before handling any ingredients.
Using our cutting and spreading skills, we prepared our pizzas by adding tomato sauce and choosing from a variety of tasty toppings. Everyone worked hard to follow instructions, make sensible choices, and use kitchen equipment safely.
As we created our pizzas, we developed important life skills such as independence, responsibility, and teamwork. We also practised fine motor skills through cutting and preparing ingredients and learned about healthy food choices along the way.
The best part was, of course, tasting our delicious creations! We were very proud of our finished pizzas and enjoyed sharing our thoughts on what we would do differently next time.
It was a fantastic opportunity to combine learning with fun, and we all agreed that our pizzas were bellissimo!đđ
