Creating Italy with Salt Dough

We had lots of fun getting creative with salt dough as we worked in groups to create our very own maps of Italy!

We began by using measuring scales to make sure we had exactly 100 grams of salt dough. This involved lots of problem solving and critical thinking as we worked out how to balance the scales and make sure they were level before we started.

Once our dough was ready, we used rolling pins to flatten it and glue spreaders to carefully cut and shape our dough into the outline of Italy. We had to look closely at the shape of the country and work together to make sure our maps were as accurate as possible.

It was fantastic to see everyone working together, sharing ideas, solving problems and using their practical skills to bring our learning about Italy to life!
