Excellent Lesson
Over the course of the last two school sessions, staff worked together to refresh our Excellent Lesson. Children were involved in this too, when we gathered their thoughts at different Together Times. The Excellent Lesson is our expectation across all of our classrooms and will support our Quality Assurance processes across the school. Emotion Works
To complement our existing Health and Wellbeing programmes we have invested in an Emotional Literacy Programme called Emotion Works.
Emotion Works is an educational programme designed to support the development of emotional literacy across the school.
It uses different coloured cogs to help children understand the component model of emotions: how our emotions work and how they link to triggers, behaviours, body sensations, regulation strategies, intensity and influences.

Care Inspectorate
Our ECC was inspected in August 2026. The inspection was very positive, with the ECC being awarded a grade of very good across all quality indicators inspected. The report can be accessed via the link below.
