We have been learning our 2 times tables and have been playing games to help us practise. We have also been using tens frames and plastic flowers to make groups of 2. We have started to link the 2 times table to doubles. We now know that 3×2 is the same as double 3 or 2×3.
Today we learned how to write a summary of a book. We did such a good job! Some of us got to share our summaries with the class. Summarising is one of our active literacy skills. This is when we put into our own words what has happened in the text. We needed to think about the main events.
We have been recapping on the names of the colours.
We went outside to play a game using the coloured cones. Our partners said a colour in French and we had to run to it. Sometimes they said more than one colour and we had to run to the colours in that order.
As well as speaking in French and listening to our partners speaking it we also had the chance to read it. After reading the colour we coloured the paint pot in. Unfortunately the printer wasn’t working well the day we were doing this activity and so we had to add in some of the faded out letters ourself.
