We have been reading the Iron Man.

Yesterday we read the beginning of chapter 4 of the Iron Man and answered questions about the text. We made sure that we were answering the questions in sentences. We also made predictions about what would happen next in the text.

ASSESSMENT

Today we are going to improve our work by working on the feedback given by Mrs Petrie on our postit notes.

We used our addition skills to work out the name of the book we were going to read. The book was based Lewis Carroll’s poem Jabberwocky.

We have been learning to add using the vertical calculation strategy.

We used our describing bubbles and skills to write a description of a picture that Frankenstein was in.

A huge well done to our VCOP champs. Their work really focused on –

*Handwriting

We had a lovely afternoon listening to different animal presentations. I think we all learned lots of interesting facts!

We have been learning about different ways to keep ourself safe on the internet.

This morning we came into class to find these questions. We discussed our answers.

We have been learning about what plants need to make their own food – photosynthesis.  Today we drew a labelled diagram of a science experiment and wrote a hypothesis. Next week we will look at our experiment and see if we were correct.

We designed experiments to prove what seeds need to grow. We designed an experiment where the cress seeds would germinate and grow and one where they wouldn’t grow. There were some great ideas and diagrams.

We had great fun carrying out our experiments. Next week we will monitor our experiment and record the results.

Once we found the seeds we used our maths skills to work out how much our experiment was costing. We worked out our calculations on our whiteboards.
