P4 – Inheritance

Primary 4 have been exploring Inheritance with Mrs McNulty.

By comparing generations of families of humans, plants and animals, I can begin to understand how characteristics are inherited.                        SCN 1-14a

We know that genetic information determines characteristics such as colour of our eyes, the shape of our noses and even the ability to roll our tongues!

We used our own experiences to illustrate how inherited characteristics are passed from one generation to the next.

Using Skittles, we demonstrated how genetic information is passed down through generations.
