Welcome to the blog for Mrs Jamieson’s Primary 5 class for the session 2026/2027.
I am so excited to be your child’s teacher and look forward to a wonderful year of working together!
Please check the class blog weekly for updates on what Primary 5 have been learning about.
Useful Information
Our PE days are every Wednesday and Thursday
Please bring appropriate footwear and gym clothes (leggings, joggers, shorts with school poloshirt) on these days.
Please note: All hair has to be tied up (or bring a bobble to tie it up) and jewellery should be taken off (ear piercings taken out or taped).
Thank you.
Yearly Overview
Check out P5’s yearly overview for what Primary 5 will be learning about each term.
Learning Profiles
All pupils have created Learner profiles through my world of work.
Here they will record there PLP targets and their achievements as well as sharing what skills and learning they will be getting up to in Primary 5.
Please engage with this with your child as a way to discuss their targets, skills and achievements in Primary 5.
Homework
Homework will begin after the September weekend. As my day off is a Monday, homework will be issued on the Tuesday due for the following week.
Every pupil will be issued with a homework jooter.
This jotter should be checked by an adult at home and any concerns can be passed on to the class teacher.
This jotter does not need to be submitted weekly.
Homework for P5 will usually consist of:
- 1 piece of Literacy or Learning Profile targeted work. (Some pupils will also have a reading book to read at home.)
- Common words spelling
- 1 piece of Numeracy and Maths Homework OR Learning Profile targeted work
- 1 topic activity – may not be every week.
Please engage with the Homework with your child as a way to consolidate their learning in class.
Feel free to contact me by email if you have any questions:
Let’s make Primary 5 a wonderful and memorable year!
