FSC Millport
Located on the Isle of Cumbrae on the Firth of Clyde, FSC Millport has a rich history as a marine research station and activities here can be traced back to 1885. Part of the Field Studies Council (https://www.field-studies-council.org/locations/millport/) since early 2014, significant investment including doubling bed space en-suiting the entire site, the creation of a new 150 seat lecture theatre etc has seen the site grow year on year and continue to be a flagship institute for marine research and education. The 140 bed residential centre hosts university students, school pupils, family holidays, professional learners and trainees and apprentices – coming to learn about biology, environmental science and geography or have outdoor adventures such as snorkelling, climbing and rafting.
