Lesson Activity:
- Start by reading the story We’re Going on a Bear Hunt by Michael Rosen, or watch him read it on YouTube:
- Talk about the different places that the family visited on their journey and the different sounds that they heard. Use other senses as a stimulus to explore other things that the family might have experienced e.g. feeling scared, cold, wet etc. What might they have seen or heard?
- Outdoors, role-play a bear hunt or similar adventure with your class. You could travel around the space recreating the bear hunt story, or create an adventure of your own e.g. a hunt for a supervillain, searching for a lost toy, or explorers in the jungle. On your adventure, use the senses to stimulate discussion.
