String Telephones – Vibrations in Action

Making a simple string telephone allows pupils to see that sound is a vibration carried by a solid, i.e. the string.     String Telephone

This is part of a second level activity for Vibrations and Waves.

String Telephone Lesson Plan     Through research on how animals communicate, I can explain how sound vibrations are carried by waves through air, water and other media. SCN 2-11a.
