Before embarking on any expedition or adventure, it is important to know how to use a map and a compass.  This is also an important part of completing your Duke of Edinburgh Award, at any level.

In this video, Tim shows you how you can create a map of your back garden and how to set the map by using the features around you and by using a compass.  He also demonstrates how you can set and follow a journey around your garden or outdoor space as practice for following journeys on expedition.
