Can you help?

Primary 6 will be commencing Cycle Training very soon and we are short of helpers.  If you could spare an hour on a Wednesday between 3pm – 4pm to supervise training, led by Mrs Fulton, this would be very much appreciated.  There is no need to be a cyclist or have any specialist knowledge, this is a safety requirement as we are training on-road.

If you would like to become a cycle trainer, training is available, please let Mrs Fulton know.

Thank you 🙂

Football Training

A reminder that football training for those involved with the team, starts back on Tuesday 18th February 3-4pm.

Training, as before will be every Tuesday unless we have a game on that night. If we do there will be no training and the players involved notified in advance.

Players are reminded that participation the football requires a high standard of behaviour and attitude across the whole school day and any drop in these standards will involve non participation for individual sessions or for an indefinite period

Awards for the School

James Hamilton received the 2nd of two nationally recognised awards recently when we became a Digital Friendly School.

Pictured is Mr McCracken and his Tech Team who worked hard to get this award.

This adds to our status as a Cycle Friendly School which we achieved just before the Summer.

Match V. Annanhill

The school football team has a friendly match on Tuesday after school at home against Annanhill.

The players involved have been informed.

Training will resume on Tuesdays after the February holiday.

Lets hope our good form has carried over after Christamas.

Mobile Phones

Can parents and carers please remind their children that mobile phones (if brought to school) should be put away securely in a bag from the moment they enter the school grounds till they leave again at the end of the day. This includes the playground.

A number of pupils have been caught taking pictures and selfies both in school and in the playground and this is a serious breach of privacy for all the students and staff in the school and phones may have to be removed from pupils who persist in this behaviour.

While we appreciate that some children need a phone for after school purposes they should not be seen at all in school grounds.

Thank you for your cooperation.
