Meeting 25/2/20

Present:

Chloe Shields, Calvin McInroy, Jace Stewart, Emily Mathieson, Poppy Biggar, Elle Manson, , Matthew Paton, Kayden McPherson, Paula O’Neil, Aaron Caldwell, Shanice Hollywood, Josh Eskine, Ellie Callaby,  Mrs Stewart and Laila Cassidy.

Agenda:

    1. School Charter Competition
      The group will take a competition leaflet to their class and tell their class about our School Charter competition later today. Classes will also be reminded at assemblies about this.
    2. Sport Relief Friday 13th March
      The Right Busters will lead Funky Friday to tell the pupils who will be helped by the money raised.

      Pupils will dress in sports clothes and be charged £1.

      Lots of other suggestions were made for the hall – A Raffle, Beat the Goalie, Just dance, Netball Shoot, Gymnastic and Parkour, Ping pong, Put hands in slime and Jump the Wall. The group will ask their classes for any other ideas.These will be decided at our next meeting.

      Mrs Stewart has emailed Mr Edgar to ask if we can have an Astro all day for Sport Relief so that classes can do sport activities throughout the day.

Right Busters

Meeting 31/1/20

Present:

Chloe Shields, Jace Stewart, Emily Mathieson, Poppy Biggar, Elle Manson, Ross Morrice, Matthew Paton, Kayden Pherson, Aaron Caldwell, Shaniece Hollywood, Josh Erskine, Ellie Callaby, Moira Rae and Laila Cassidy.

Agenda:

  1. Mrs Stewart welcomed everyone to the first Right Buster Meeting of this year. The new Respect Me anti bullying campaign was discussed and pupils agreed that they would like to be involved in this.
  2. School Charter Competition
  3. Pupils voted to tell the whole school at an Assembly about the School Charter Poster competition. Mrs Stewart will make a template and this will be given to staff and discussed after the February break.
  4. The Right Busters got their photo taken for the noticeboard and the school website.
  5. The group looked at the school’s Visions and Values which are going to be focused on during the rest of this term. They were pleased that they were very similar to our School Charter so Children’s Rights are at the heart of our Visions and Values.

                       Meeting Minutes

Date: 4/11/19

Present: Mrs Stewart, Chloe Sheilds, Jace Stewart, Emily Mathieson, Poppy Biggar, Elle Manson, Ross Morrice, Matthew Paton, Kayden McPherson, Paula O’Neil, Aaron Caldwell, Shaniece Hollywood, Josh Erskine, Ellie Callaby and Laila Cassidy.

Agenda:

  1. Today’s meeting was to discuss what we will do for Children in Need.
  2. Paula, Josh, Ellie, Emily and Matthew reported back the suggestions that their classmates had for fundraising activities. The group took a vote and it was decided that:
  • We will sell the new Pudsey badges and wristbands at break times from Wednesday 6th November
  • Pupils will be asked to ‘Dress as They Please on Friday 15th November and give a donation of £1.
  • The Right Busters would like Mrs Stewart to ask the staff if they could have a Fun Afternoon for Children in Need Day on Friday 15th. Mrs Stewart will ask the staff this at their Staff meeting on Wednesday 6th November.
  • The Right Busters will talk to the pupils at Funky Friday on the 15th November about what the CIN money will be used for.

Meeting 29/10/19

Present:

Chloe Shields, Jace Stewart, Emily Mathieson, Poppy Biggar, Elle Manson, Ross Morrice, Matthew Paton, Kayden Pherson, Paula O’Neil, Aaron Caldwell, Shaniece Hollywood, Josh Eskine, Ellie Callaby and Laila Cassidy.

Agenda:

  1. Mrs Stewart welcomed everyone to the first Right Buster Meeting of this session. She told the pupils what jobs the group will be doing for the next term:Class ChartersRight Buster Notice board
  2. Make RRS more visible throughout the school.
  3. School Charter Competition
  4. Children In Need Fundraising.
  5. All pupils have been asked to take a picture of their class Charter which we will look at, at our next meeting.
  6. Children in Need.
    Mrs Stewart asked pupils if they would like to take part in a CIN assembly this year. There will also be a shop selling CIN badges and wristbands from next week. Pupils have to ask their class what they would like the theme of the day to be.
    Suggestions were: Dress up as someone Colourful , Spotty or Wearing PJs.
