Sports Relief 2020

James Hamilton Primary, Sgoil na Coillie Nuaidh and Sgoil-`araich na Coillie Nuaidh were raising money for Sport Relief.  We had great fun playing games in the gym, including Beat the Goalie and Just Dance.  Here are a selection of photos. Click on the photo to start the slideshow 🙂

Internet Safety

We are keen to support parents to ensure all young people are Cyber safe, especially with the growing use of a wide range of Apps and online forms of communication (WhatsApp/TikTok/Instagram/Snapchat etc). As part of our continued commitment, we are delighted to promote our new ‘Safer Schools’ App.
This App is a reliable source of advice on all things Cyber. It gives empowering, current and informative information on all current digital platforms/tools/apps in an accessible manner. We have a range of tailored user accesses (pupil, staff and parents/carers).

To access your parent platform please:
-Go to your app store or Google Play and search for ‘Safer School’
-In school field type ‘East Ayrshire Council’
-The code for primary parents is: 7440

We would recommend that you discuss with your child about which apps and social media platforms they currently use/access. This will help ensure they know how to stay safe online – using the app to start these types of conversations is great.

New Strip

The school football team has been able to purchase a new strip.

As you can see there is space on the front for any business wanting to sponsor the team. We would also like to purchase tracksuit tops for match days and put the school badge on the strip.

If you are interested and can help us out please contact us at the school.

Primary 5A, 5B & 5C trip to Glasgow Science Centre (1)

Primaries 5A, 5B & 5C visited Glasgow Science Centre on Wednesday 4th March.  They had a fabulous time and experienced a visit to the Planetarium to view “A Passport to the Planets”, then a 3D movie at the IMAX called ” A Beautiful Planet”.  The children were then given some free time to explore the various levels in the Education Science Mall, trying out the numerous experiments on offer.

The children were a credit to the school, and to their parents.  Mr McCracken, Ms Hodgson, Mrs McAuley, Ms Fitzgerald, Mrs Kyle, Ms McChristie and Mrs Fulton were delighted with the enthusiasm and behaviour of all children.  🙂

Here are some photos from the trip.
