This week is mental health week and it couldn’t be a more important time to think about this. Lockdown can be a very frustrating, confusing and lonely time so we need to look after ourselves and others. The attached link is a competition you can enter to win children’s books that link to emotional well-being and help children understand their feelings. 😊
Just a reminder that your days dont need to be filled with activities on screens or written activities. Fill your days with activities that the family can do together. Mr McCracken and his daughter made flapjacks at weekend. Check out their efforts below.
INTO Film are holding a great competition at the moment called ‘Nature in your Neighbourhood’. It is open to children aged 5-19 years with some great prizes. Check the link below for more information……
We are starting to prepare for the new Primary 1 pupils who will be due to start school in August. Normally at this time, we would be having transition events for the children to visit the school and meet the staff but unfortunately this won’t happen this year. What we would like to do is put together a short video for the new Primary 1 pupils and would like your help with this.
We are looking to gather video clips of the current Primary 1pupils sharing what their favourite things about school are. The video clips should be around 10 seconds in length but no longer than 15 seconds. Clips can be uploaded to your child’s Teams page or emailed to lynn.paul@eastayrshire.org.uk The clips will then be put into the video and this will be shared on our school website so please only send in a video of your child if you are happy for them to be included in this. All videos should be sent in by Friday 29th May 2020.
If you are in contact with any other Primary 1 parents, could you please share this with them as I would like as many pupils involved as possible.
If you have any questions about this, please email me at the address above.
