Hello everyone,
As you will all be aware the weather is starting to get colder. The children have access to outdoors every day in the ECC. We have weather proof outdoor suits for each individual child that they keep at their peg and use daily.
We are asking if parents/carers could supply a hat and a pair of gloves for their child that will be kept in the ECC for the children to use daily. Please ensure these have your child’s name or initials are on the items.
If you need any support in this matter please speak with a member of staff!

The children all had a great time today in their pyjamas for children in need.
Hello everyone,
A huge well done to all the children for completing their homework task for last night. The children were to look for circle and square shaped objects within their home. We got some fantastic answers like; clocks, cushions, mirrors, buttons on the remote control.
The homework task for tonight is to find rectangle and triangle shapes in and around the house.
If you could show your child a picture of or an object of either a rectangle or triangle first and then send them off around the home to find objects that are these shapes. If you walk down to the ECC or even drive, try to encourage your child to look out for these shapes as well as circles and squares.
What can you find???
We will be asking the children tomorrow (Friday 13th)

REMEMBER IT IS PYJAMA DAY TOMORROW!! WE ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING YOU ALL IN YOUR PYJAMAS.
Hello everyone,
This week the children have been learning all about 2D shapes, being able to name them and how 2D shapes are all around us!
We are looking for the children to complete a shape hunt at home?
The 2 shapes we would ask to cover are;
Can you get the children to look for circles in the house, count how many they can see and name the objects? The same for squares. We will ask the children tomorrow how they got on and what circles or squares they could see in their house. It would be good if the children could see the shape to begin with for example; drawing a circle or using a plate.
Have fun and we cant wait to hear all the objects they find.

CHILDREN IN NEED
This Friday – 13th November – we would like to invite all the children in the ECC to come dressed in their pyjamas!! (This is optional)
We will be learning all about the Children in Need charity and the wonderful work they do, and take part in various activities throughout the day!
JOIN US ON FRIDAY IN YOUR PYJAMAS!!!
Normally for this charity we would ask for donations to be made through us to send to Children in Need.
Due to the current restrictions we would ask any of our families looking to make a donation to this directly to the BBC Children in Need. Follow this link to the website;
https://donate.bbcchildreninneed.co.uk/
Many thanks and we look forward to seeing all these pyjamas.

All the children had a great time on Friday, dressing up, having party snack and playing games.
Here are a few pictures of the amazing costumes!!!
Thank you again for a great day!!
Snack Money
Normally on a Monday we would collect the £3 snack money from each family. Due to restrictions in place we are no longer able to collect any cash from our families.
East Ayrshire Council will provide snack funding for the children in the ECC.
In light of these new developments I would like to ask if possible for any of our families to donate any of the following:
Tissues, Baby wipes or kitchen roll
There will be a box available in the ECC Playground in the Blue hut, that we ask if you bring any donation can you please place in the box (not in a carrier bag) as these items will be left for 72 hours before any staff can handle or be used!
We would like to thank you all for your continued support!
ECC staff.

On Friday 30th October the ECC will be hosting Halloween parties for the children. The children can come in dressed up if they wish too.
There will be games, party snacks, dancing and some spooky fun!!!!
As always we ask that the costumes are suitable for children aged 3-5 years old. No scary masks or characters that are not appropriate for younger children.
If you have any queries please speak with myself or a member of staff.
