Snack Money

Snack Money

Normally on a Monday we would collect the £3 snack money from each family.  Due to restrictions in place we are no longer able to collect any cash from our families.

East Ayrshire Council will provide snack funding for the children in the ECC.

In light of these new developments I would like to ask if possible for any of our families to donate any of the following:

Tissues, Baby wipes or kitchen roll

There will be a box available in the ECC Playground in the Blue hut, that we ask if you bring any donation can you please place in the box (not in a carrier bag) as these items will be left for 72 hours before any staff can handle or be used!

We would like to thank you all for your continued support!

ECC staff.

Halloween Party

On Friday 30th October the ECC will be hosting Halloween parties for the children. The children can come in dressed up if they wish too.

There will be games, party snacks, dancing and some spooky fun!!!!

As always we ask that the costumes are suitable for children aged 3-5 years old. No scary masks or characters that are not appropriate for younger children.

If you have any queries please speak with myself or a member of staff.

Red & Blue Groups

RED & BLUE

Due to the current restrictions we are unfortunately unable to welcome parents into the ECC to follow what your child has been up to. We have been having fun learning about various things that have taken the children’s interest. Here is a little look at how busy your children have been over the past couple of weeks.

Keeping active at Gym and Outdoor play

After finding some creatures in our garden, the children questioned what else we might find if we went on a bug hunt and had an interest in other minibeasts.

We read The Very Hungry Caterpillar which inspired some artwork and snack

We learned that Bee’s have 5 eyes which Callan remembered when making his own and how they make honey…… which we even got to taste

Josh has told the RED & BLUE groups about finding chestnuts that fell off a tree at his grandmas house, we then looked at some conkers which led to an interesting discussion about Autumn. We will be taking this learning forward.

Yellow, Purple & Green

Whilst outside, the children started talking about how the weather had changed. This led to an interest in learning about different weathers, assessing and recording the weather each day.

This inspired some art, we made rainy and stormy pictures

We experimented to see the effect the sun had on ice, how much rain fell and what the wind did to bubbles

Harrison brought in some leaves that he found to show the YELLOW, PURPLE & GREEN groups.  This led to a great discussion about Autumn. We will be taking this learning forward.
