Everybody put in an amazing effort with their costumes too, we are sure you will agree!

We were using our recall skills to remember the order that the monkeys saw the animals in the jungle in the story, Night Monkey, Day Monkey.
Everyone worked well in pairs collaborating and taking turns to successful create their story map.
We used our imagination to disguise a pumpkin…look at all our ideas!

This week we have been learning the phoneme, c, k and ck.
At purposeful play, many of us enjoyed the challenge of making a paper chain caterpillar.
As part of our topic, Night Monkey, Day Monkey we have been learning about shadows.
We had fun exploring shadows with character puppets from the story and torches. We made the room really dark and found that the puppet blocked the light creating a shadow.
Here is a small selection of photos showing the learning and purposeful play that has been happening in P1 since August.
PE days have changed and PE will now be on a Wednesday and Thursday.
