Star Writers
‘I am throwing a ball to my friend.’
Today’s star writers were so proud of themselves. They tried very hard to include all the detail needed to match the sentence including the ball, themselves and a friend. They even included an appropriate backdrop which showed that it is autumn as they had red and yellow leaves on the trees.

Awards Assembly
This week we had some well-deserved awards given at our awards assembly. We think these children have really been living our school values and truly deserved this recognition.
Head Teacher’s Award
Millie achieved this for her excellent efforts in climbing Ben Nevis recently with her mum. She demonstrated resilience and ambition resulting in her being one of the youngest people to climb this mountain!
Ambition Award
This was awarded to Skye who has been working so hard during our numeracy lessons. She has demonstrated confidence and ambition when creating and completing addition calculations using ten frames.
Kindness Award
This award was given to this pupil for consistently looking after our classroom and always being willing to help his friends and the teacher to tidy up.
Star Writers Update
Please have a look at our wonderful star writers that we have had in class over the last few weeks now that photo permissions have all been returned. Check back regularly to see if your child has been added to this page.

‘It is a cold day and I am kicking the leaves.’
Today’s star writers were so ambitious! We have now started adding ‘real-life’ colours to our pictures and these two pupils made sure to add autumnal colours following dicsussions about when we would see leaves falling from the trees.

‘I am trying to find my shoes after gym.’
Super effort this week, including lots of detail in their drawings and paying special attention to their shoes.
8th October 2026
‘I am splashing in my wellies.’
An amazing effort from two of our pupils today. They tried their best to add as much detail as they could to match the sentence in their writing jotters.
