Today I went for a walk round Stewarton and found lots of numbers and letters ! Bet you all know what they are (if not ask your grown ups for help).
Maybe when you are out walking , you could look for more and take some pictures for us to see! Missing you lots!!

And today in particular i wanted to show you all Frasers hedgehog that he has found – “Fraser wanted to show you his new friend Sonic. We released him in the garden this week for Hessilhead wildlife Rescue. It is the second time we have done it but the last two went off to explore and haven’t stayed in the hedgehog house.
Fraser is hoping Sonic stays in the garden!” Huge well done Fraser!

Morning everyone,
So as you know next Monday is Burns Day and in order to celebrate this Scottish event I would like to set you all an exciting challenge…I would LOVE to create a Lainshaw ECC video with as many children recording themselves saying The Wee Rid Motor poem!
All you have to do is practice this poem this week (see attached document) and record yourselves before 12pm Monday 25th, send them in an email to myself and I will create our Wee Rid Motor video with all boys and girls saying the poem which will be uploaded at 4pm on Monday 25th! This can have siblings in it for support if you wish or the child on their own or mummy and daddy can be in the video too, all you need to do is record yourself saying the poem for all the staff at Lainshaw ECC.

As Communication Campion, part of my role is I support all parents with speech and language needs, here is a website and app that can help with speech and language for you all.

This is a Guess the Object game. I take photos of objects/food around the house and outside and ‘cut’ the photo to make it smaller and a wee bit trickier to guess what the object is. The children could also do this the other way around and take the photos for the parents to guess the object.
Can you even guess what these items are? How many did you get right? Can you take your own pics and get mum/dad to guess? Can mum/dad take the pics and you can guess? How did it go? Let us know Love Hayley x

Here is a nurture message from our amazing nurture Champion Sarah who is here during this Lockdown to give Nurture/wellbeing support and advice to you all based on her training and skills.
The term Nurture is so broad it can be hard to define, however in terms of learning, nurture focuses on developing social and emotional skills which help children to do well at school and with peers, developing resilience, confidence and pride. A lot of it can be seen as life skills, and you will find you already do it day to day! Here is a Nurture Activity Grid, shared from a friend of mine, full of things you can do with your wee one to help develop these skills as well as language development and communication by ensuring you explain everything, support your child by role modelling and demonstrating and the use of gesture to spend some quality time together (Nurtureuk, 2019).
