Parent Involvement

Thank you so much from all of us for your wonderful presentation at Easter time. You all cheered us up massively.Β  We just love seeing what you are all up to and to see that you continue your learning on is fantastic πŸ˜€

Dear Tania, Caroline, Natalie, Christine, Ruth and Marcia

To our amazing teachers at nursery we wanted to let you know that we miss you and we appreciate all you have done for us.
We were all so sorry we missed our mad hatters tea party that you had all planned and put so much work into that our mummies got together and we had one at home.
Please enjoy our art and Easter adventures and know we are all safe and we hope you are too.
Take care and if we don’t see you before August we look forward to seeing you all again.

Love
Taylor, Kyle, Lucas, Hamish, Hunni, Lachlan, Anna, Gavin, Harper and Callum

Connor has arranged all his animals in order of size from smallest to biggest.Β  Super job πŸ˜€

What is your favourite animal there? Maybe you could use Caroline’s idea of painting it using your hand?

Home Learning

Mollie has been doing super with her learning at home. She is starting to recognise her numbers and is getting better each day at colouring within the lines. She’s also been learning to chop vegetables and cook dinners with mum.Β  She has also been great at helping tidy up afterwards by doing the dishes.Β  Well done Mollie πŸ˜€

What did you make for dinner? Were the vegetables tricky to chop?

I helped make a scarecrow for the vegetable patch. It’s scaring me more than the birds I think! I used daddy’s old jeans and my aunt’s old jacket. We made a face from a sack (that Iona drew on) and then we stuffed it with straw to give it a big head and tummy – Lachlan

Wow, I love this Lachlan.Β  You have been really busy.Β  Does your scarecrow have a name? I wonder if you know a song about a ‘Dingle Dangle Scarecrow’, that would maybe help you feel less scared of him?

Animal hunt.

If you have toy animals in the house, hide them and get the children to use their binoculars to find them.

Then get the children to look at the different sizes of the animals, maybe lining them up from smallest to biggest, using language such as big, small, bigger, smaller, biggest and smallest.

You could do this activity with anything you have in the house not just animals.
