A visit from Fire Officer Gary and Loch Doon Ranger Alan in Primary 5 and 6/7 today to discuss the dangers of fire and consequences of deliberate fire raising. We have learned what to do in the event of a fire, the importance of keeping ourselves and others safe and looking after our beautiful countryside in and around Dalmellington. 🌲 🌳 🦉 🦅 🦢 🌸 🦡 🐿
We are learning to use the visualisation strategy when reading our class novel, Wonder. This strategy focusses on considering the authors use of language to imagine the scene to create our illustration. Here are some pictures of the main character, Auggie during his first day of school. This week, we have been participating in a range of Virtual Transition activities provided by Doon Academy. We have been learning Science skills with a live experiment, an Escape Room Maths Problem Solving and we are working on a marble run, whilst learning about friction!
Todays session was provided by the Art Department with a challenge to design our very own Among Us characters! They make a super display! Can you guess who they all are?
