Please access all information on transition dates for children moving into Primary 1 in August 2025 by clicking on the link below.

Please note the “Come Dine With Me” Transition lunch will be held in Fenwick Primary School Lunch hall. Further information and sign-up sheets will soon be available for this event.

Buddy events are also included on this list, all children in the ECC take part in these events, while building positive relationships with P5 and P6 children from Fenwick PS.

Tempest Photographs – Monday 28th May 2025

Tempest will be visiting the School and ECC on Monday 28th of May 2025.

All children will have their individual photographs taken. The photographer will also take photos of the children with their siblings in the ECC or in the school.

The children in the ECC will have their photos taken first before any messy or outdoor play takes place.

Photos will be sent home with your child along with instructions of how to order prints/ digital downloads if you wish.

 

Winter Illnesses

We realise that there are lots of winter illnesses around at the moment.

It can be tricky at times knowing when to keep your child off from the ECC.

If your child is unwell and absent from the ECC, please call the main office on 01560 600403. There is also a function on the Safer Schools Scotland App to report an absence.

When informing us of your child’s absence we would really appreciate you giving a reason for their absence, e.g. a high temperature, sickness, an unsettled night or a planned holiday.

This allows us to monitor outbreaks of illness, complete more stringent cleaning processes to minimise the spread of infection and to monitor others if they are feeling unwell.

Primary 1 Registration – 13th – 17th January 2025

P1 Registration

For children who turn age of 5 years between 1 March 2025 and 28 February 2026 and whose parents and carers wish them to attend school should be registered for education during the week Monday 13 January 2025 until Friday 17 January 2025.  To register you should complete an online application and submit no later than Friday 17 January 2025.  Register at: – https://www.east-ayrshire.gov.uk/schooladmissions

To register your child you will require to upload a copy of your child’s birth certificate and two proofs of your residence in the catchment area in the form of a Council Tax Notice or Utility Bill.  Should you require a copy of your child’s birth certificate for Registration, this can be obtained at www.certificates.scot

If you are unable to register online then please phone your local school who will assist you to register your child.

Placing Requests

Parents and carers who wish to make a placing request must first enrol their child/children at their catchment school.

Placing requests for the session beginning August 2025, should be received by 31 January 2025.  Requests must be completed and submitted online at: https://www.east-ayrshire.gov.uk/schoolplacingrequest
