A massive thank you to Maureen and Dino Carrino (local business owners) who generously donated £100.00 to the school. This money will go towards purchasing games and resources for each class to use during wet weather intervals and lunches.

As your child’s photo will be shared with “School Bears” to produce our class mugs, written permission must be given by parents/carers. Please either complete and return your permission form or email mary.mcdicken@east-ayrshire.gov.uk by 9.10 a.m. tomorrow at the latest. To ensure delivery before the festival holidays, class photos will be taken tomorrow.
If your child is absent from school tomorrow, and you wish them to take part, you can send a head shot photo of your child to mary.mcdicken@east-ayrshire.gov.uk to be imported into the class photo.
If you wish any further information, please do not hesitate to contact the school.
On Wednesday 10 November staff will again be able to phone our parents/carers for a chat, with each slot lasting 10 minutes. Parents/carers should phone the school office on 01290 551436 to ‘book’ their time slot. We will also be asking which phone number you would like your child’s teacher to phone you on to ensure that we get through (please have this available).
Appointments will be available every 10 minutes from 3.30pm to 5.20pm, and then from 6.00pm to 7.50pm. Please ensure that you have your phone switched on, and note that the teacher’s call will display as ‘NO Caller ID’.
Our teachers are looking forward to speaking with you, and updating you about what your child is focusing on in class and how they are progressing with their learning in Term 2.
Class photographs will be taken in school on Thursday 4 November for our “Class Mugs” festive fundraiser. As the photographs are going to School Bears to produce our mugs, we need your written consent to pass your child’s photograph onto the company. Please ensure you return your child’s consent form. If you have any issues, please contact the school office or send written consent to mary.mcdicken@east-ayrshire.gov.uk.
Once the photographs are taken you will see a payment item on ParentPay (£6.00 per mug – multiple mugs can be purchased).
Thank you for your continued support and cooperation.
Catrine Primary School will be organising class photo mugs for every class in the school that would then be sold via Catrine Primary School ParentPay as a Festive Fundraiser (£6,00 per mug). The mug would have a class photo on one side and “All the best from Catrine Primary School” on the other side.
We will be using the same company as we used last year called “School Bears”. If you want your child to take part in this fundraiser a permission form will need to be completed (issues today 27 October). Also, payment in advance through ParentPay is required before we can place any orders. Multiple mugs can be purchased.
A ParentPay itemed called “Class Mugs 2021” will be set up next week.
Thank you for your continued support. If you wish any further information, please do not hesitate to contact the school.
We appreciate that Hallowe’en is going to be a bit different this year, so we’ve got plans in place to make Friday 29th October a fun day in school for all pupils.
Pupils can either come to school in a Hallowe’en costume or dressed in casual clothes like a Dress Down Day. Please ensure that their Hallowe’en costume is suitable for playing outside at interval and lunch, and that they can take it on and off themselves when using the toilet. Please note – no huge accessories this year (swords etc).
Each pupil will be taking part in Hallowe’en activities and each class will be having a party.
We’re looking forward to a spooky and fun-filled day!
NHS Ayrshire & Arran will be in school on Monday 25 October from 9.10 a.m. to deliver immunisations to the children who completed a consent/information form.
