Lights, Camel, Action! – Christmas Service

    

Our Christmas Service will take place in Irvine Valley Parish Church, Galston on Thursday 18th December at 9:30a,m,  The whole school is involved in delivering our Lights, Camel, Action! retelling of the Nativity story through words, actions and songs.  We would be delighted if you would join us in this Christmas Service Celebration.

Could we ask, where mobility allows, could all parents and carers please sit upstairs. For those accompanying the children walking will be placed amongst the children as usual.

Christmas Parties

Dear Parent/Carer
Please see below for all Christmas party dates. Children can come to school on the date of their party dressed in party clothes or if their party is in the afternoon parents can collect them for a home lunch. If you would like your child to have a home lunch they must be collected by an adult at 12:30 pm and dropped off at the office at 1:15pm.

Secondary Transition for P7

Dear Parent/Carer

As you are no doubt aware, your child is due to transfer from primary to secondary education at the beginning of the new school session (August 2026).

Secondary school hand books are available at: https://eastayrshi.re/SchoolHandbooks

You must complete the online P7 transfer application at http://eastayrshi.re/p7transfer no later than Friday 12 December 2025 to ensure your child is allocated a place within their secondary school.

Miss Kelly

All of the staff and pupils would like to  wish Miss Kelly Good Luck and Best Wishes for her new post of Acting Depute at Whatriggs Primary, Kilmarnock.  We will miss her very much  and know that the children and families at Whatriggs will benefit from all of her hard work, kindness and dedication.

There is multiple opportunities to engage with NEST on Neurodiversity Support over the coming weeks.  Please use the link to register your place.  The Galston Event overlaps with the Christmas Fayre however you would be welcomed at any of the events both across East Ayrshire or on the Teams meeting online.

Pantomime Cinderella

Our Christmas Pantomime this year is Cinderella and will take place in school on Friday 19th December.  The cost of the Pantomime is £4 per child and this must be paid in full by Friday 12th December. Payments can be made through  ParentPay and the £4 can be paid in full or in instalments with the minimum payment being set at £1.

P7 Christmas Fayre Volunteers

We are looking for P7 helpers for our Christmas Fayre. If your child is able to help please can you complete the form below.
