Is your child going to Loudoun Academy in August? As part of the P7 transition programme underway for P7s there is an opportunity for parents and carers to attend a virtual information evening via Microsoft TEAMS on the 24th March at 6 p.m. The link will be sent out via email nearer the time.
Log in on line to gain access.
Have you made your parent appointment for the 26th March 2026 yet?
Please make sure you telephone the school office to arrange a time to come and speak to your child’s teacher. See the progress they have made. The children’s work is available to see, both jotter and displayed work. We know the children enjoy showing off what they have done, parents enjoy seeing the progress they have made and so we look forward to seeing you there.
The Book Fair is also available in the hall. We are a cashless school so payment is made via the Book Fair QR code on your phone.
A message from our Eco Community Group.
Dear parents/carers,
Did you know?
69% of our food waste here in East Ayrshire is being put in our household waste bin instead of our food recycling bin.
We are delighted to advise that your child’s school will be participating in East Ayrshire’s Food Recycling Initiative ‘Dinnae forget your Caddy!’ The aim of the programme is to raise awareness of the food items that can be recycled and encourage more families across our community to recycle their food waste at home between February and June 2026.
How it works
Participation in this programme will encourage all our young people and families to:
What we would like you do:
*** To request a kitchen and/or kerbside caddy, please email waste@east-ayrshire.gov.uk ***
Below you can see the highest percentage of caddies that have been presented for collection in your area. This is your Week 1 Community Caddy Count.
We will begin monitoring the number of food caddies presented for collection from Monday 2nd February and continue this throughout term 3 and 4.
In mid- June we will again share the highest percentage of caddies that have been presented for collection in your area. This is your Week 15 Community Caddy Count.
Can you recycle your food waste each week and encourage others to do the same to help raise your Community Caddy Count?
We look forward to keeping you updated on our progress throughout the year and thank you in advance for supporting Dinnae forget your Caddy!
We want to wish all of our pupils who are participating in the Ayrshire Association of Burns Clubs Competition on the 21st of February in Belmont Academy, Ayr, along with those pupils who are participating in the Rotary Club Quiz on Tuesday24th February in Kilmarnock.
We are very proud of you especially working so hard on you practice and for giving up your own time on a Saturday or in the evening to represent our school. You will be fantastic!
