Jumpers, Cardigans and Hoodies

At the beginning of a year the children often forget to collect all their belongings.  Can we please ask that names are put on all items especially on jumpers, cardigans and hoodies as many of the children will remove these items and forget where they have left them.  If there is a name on the item staff will be able to reunite it with the child.  Otherwise any unnamed items will go to lost property as we have no way of telling who they belong to. A permanent Sharpie type marker is best for this as it does not wash off.

If your child brings home the wrong item please return it to the school the following school day.

Thank you for your help in this matter.

PE Kit and Jewellery

Children should bring a change of clothes and shoes (that they do not wear outdoors) that are suitable for safely taking part in Physical Education activities. A PE kit in a named bag consisting of T shirt/ shorts/ trainers for PE is recommended  and it is advised that children keep their change of clothes/ shoes at school,  taking them home weekly for washing. When your child is taking part in gymnastics they should wear shorts in order to safely use the equipment.
.
Staff are not allowed to help children put piercings in or out before and after PE. All jewellery, including piercings, is not permitted during PE lessons. If a child is unable to remove piercings, they will go with the class to the gym but will sit at the side watching the lesson doing a quiet activity e.g. read a book, keeping team scores.

Dear parent/carer
Thank you so much to everyone that has supported our Parent Council this year. You have all been wonderful, and as you can see from the attachment, we’ve achieved some brilliant things for the kids this year.

Have a fantastic summer and we look forward to seeing some new recruits in September at our first meeting of the academic term.

School Transport Times 26th June

Early Closure Summer 2026 Transport Update
The Summer School closure on Friday 26th June 2026 whereby all schools close at 1pm there will be an impact on pupils who access school transport.
We have many linked contracts that serve both primary pupils as well as secondary pupils across both Mainstream and ASN Schools.
To ensure sufficient transport provision on this date and to ease congestion, all contractors will arrange to collect primary children at 12.25pm and secondary pupils thereafter at around 1pm.
If you require further information please contact the school office.
Many thanks for your continued co-operation.
