Froebel Trust

A new Froebel Trust series created to support educators in their work with babies and young children.

Each Research Highlight summarises the latest in early childhood research. The series makes links between research and practice in Froebelian education today.

Nurturing Self-Regulation – webinar recording from March 2022. This webinar was to celebrate the publication of a new Froebel Trust pamphlet which explores a Frobelian perspective on children’s self-regulation, with authors Dr Lynn McNair and Carol Cerdan of the Cowgate under 5’s centre in Edinburgh.


Early Level Play Pedagogy Toolkit

This multi-media toolkit (updated August 2022) aims to support practitioners working with children in the Early Level to appropriately use play pedagogy to support learning and development.

It is designed with practitioners across Scotland to be used in conjunction with Curriculum for Excellence and the refreshed national practice guidance for early years in Scotland ‘Realising the Ambition: Being Me’.
