Invitation to Early Years Practitioners

We would love to invite you along to our forthcoming network event as part of SERA Conference 2021. This event will take place online Thurs 25 November 2021, 9:00-10:00am.

The theme this year is ‘International Themes in Education‘ and our event will focus on ‘Key-working through the pandemic‘:

This panel discussion will invite practitioners and researchers in the early years to reflect on the international resonances found in experiences of working throughout the pandemic. Although holding keyworker status, early years professionals in Scotland rarely achieve the same visibility or recognition as those in other educational sectors. Together with presenters from New Zealand and Ireland, representatives from practice and policy-making in Scotland will explore the impact on practitioners, particularly considering emotional wellbeing during this period.

We are looking forward to welcoming the following panelists:

  • Gemma Paterson, Falkirk Council, Scotland
  • Kristín Dýrfjörð, University of Akureyri, Iceland
  • Toni Christie, Childspace, Wellington, New Zealand
  • Lee Herlihy, Horizons Montessori School, Co.Cork, Ireland

Register here. We hope you can join us!
