As part of Scotland’s National e-Learning Offer (NeLO), e-Sgoil are pleased to offer the following family learning experience for Ukrainians here in Scotland.  This opportunity has been created in partnership with Laura-Ann Currie and Stephen Bullock (Education Scotland) and Michelle Lewis (Education Officer TRIC).

We are keen for this opportunity to reach displaced Ukrainian families across Scotland as early as possible and ask that you use your networks and contacts to share the flyers at the bottom of the page (both English and Ukrainian) as widely as possible.

e-Sgoil will be providing regular online live interactive sessions for improving the young people’s and their family’s conversational English – led by a Ukrainian speaking teacher.  It will bring displaced families throughout Scotland together in an online environment and support them in building a sense of togetherness and community while avoiding social isolation.  It is an opportunity to share experiences with other families about the benefits and challenges they have faced in their own situations as well as giving each other practical advice and finding collective solutions. Specifically, it may be an invaluable starting point for learners to gain confidence in speaking English ahead of joining Scottish schools.

What is it? Beginners English online learning sessions with an opportunity to make connections and discuss relevant issues in a supportive community setting.

Who is it for? Ukrainian families across Scotland looking to improve their conversational English, meet other families and support each other.

When is it?  Every Thursday 6pm – 7.30pm (starting 12th May)

How do I sign up? Contact e-Sgoil using the email address e-sgoil@gnes.net and you will be sent a link to access the meeting.

How much does it cost? Nothing, it is free!
