Health and Wellbeing: a thematic review

HM Inspectorate of Education have published a thematic review of Health and Wellbeing this week, examining a range of approaches within nominated local authorities (November & December 2021).

The report considers a number of key challenges for schools and educational settings in relation to support children and young people’s health and wellbeing including:

  • Improving mental and emotional wellbeing;
  • Addressing the impact of social isolation & resilience;
  • Supporting physical wellbeing;
  • Minimising the impact of poverty on wellbeing;
  • Supporting transitions; and
  • Staff wellbeing and professional learning.
