Parental Engagement: Sharing Good Practice event

Educators from Schools, Community Learning and Development, and the third sector are invited to take part in a SWEIC good practice sharing event, offering an on-line opportunity to support staff to connect, share and collaborate.

The event takes place on 02 February 15:30 – 17:00 and will provide local examples of innovative Parental Engagement using a Community Learning and Development (CLD) approach, across all sectors of education. There will also be an opportunity for small group discussions.

Play Conference

The Lego Foundation are working with partners to provide a free virtual Playful Schools Conference on 8, 9 and 10 February. While it is important that Scottish educators are able to distinguish between the play pedagogy promoted in Realising the Ambition, which has its roots in the UNCRC definition of play as self-motivated and self-directed, and playful approaches, which are likely to include more adult initiated or directed experiences, this may be a useful professional learning opportunity for colleagues.
