Recycled Fashion Fun with P5-7!

In P5-7 with Miss Scott, everyone had an awesome time learning about recycled fashion! They explored how everyday materials are used in clothes and how we can give them a second life. Using things like bubble wrap, black bin bags, and carrier bags, the whole class got very creative! From bubble wrap jackets to upcycled bags, every group came up with their own unique ideas, making the end result a fun and inspiring fashion show! šŸ’”šŸ‘—ā™»ļø

This lesson was a great way to bringĀ STEMĀ (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Maths) to life in the classroom! šŸŒ The pupils got hands-on with materials science, learning about different fabrics and their properties, and how we can repurpose them to make something new and exciting. šŸ”¬šŸ‘š They also tackled big topics likeĀ sustainabilityĀ and the impact of fashion on the environment, linking the lesson to theĀ TechnologiesĀ andĀ SciencesĀ areas of theĀ Curriculum for Excellence (CFE). šŸ’āœØ It was a perfect way to show how STEM can help us solve real-world problems and make the world a better place by caring for our world as stewards!
