Financial Education

Today P5-7 had a few lessons in Financial Education. The topics covered were:

  • The different ways we can pay for money; debit card, cash, credit card
  • Buying things online and through apps and how to stay safe from scammers
  • Income and outgoings; essential and non-essential expenditure
  • How much things cost on average for families in Scotland (rent/mortgage, gas/electric bills, food etc)

The lessons were streamed live through Teams and the children found the information very interesting and useful. There were interactive quizzes and questions throughout so the whole class could get involved.

Some very important life lessons learned today and the children were praised by the presenter for their knowledge and clever questioning, well done!
