We went for a lacrosse tournament near Stirling. We came 4th and played well as a team! I thought it was very fun. – Aurelia

We had the Solway Sharks in to do some floorball. We practised passing the ball to each other and also played some matches. – Finley




22.4.26 – 28.4.26

I play for QOS FC and I got man of the match for a football tournament at CDHS I took part in. I got it for a scorpion kick! – Kayden

With Mrs Fitzimon we have been doing some Tootle Time. We have been paying ‘Hot Cross Buns’ and ‘Hammer Strokes’ on the tin whistles. – Ollie



We had a Dougie Day to raise money for the QOS charity. We dressed in blue clothes and Dougie came in for a visit and we played ‘beat the goalie’ with him. We then had some football practise and a scavenger hunt for footballs. – Kayden



















We made some art of nests with birds in them and their eggs. First we made the leaves and stick with paint and cardboard. Next we drew a bird with pencil and oil pastels. We then made the correct eggs for the bird. After that we went outside and had a little bug scavenger hunt. We found lots of centipedes and woodlice, and also a few slugs! – Indie












15.4.26 – 21.4.26

The school value was safe and Kayden won it! Millie got Pupil of the Week!
We were writing about what’s not good with plastic. Throwing plastic in the ocean is not good for the animals in there! – Leo

We brought in old socks to reuse them and make sock puppets. We got different fabrics, fur and some ribbons and we glued them onto the sock with PVA glue how we wanted them. My one was a fashionista! I put a wasp headband on it! – Aurelia




















24.3.36 – 14.4.26

The school value was safety and Millie won it! Kayden got Pupil of the Week!
We went to CDHS for a lacrosse tournament. There were 5 schools there. In the under 11’s we got Gold and in the open we got a bronze which means we now go to the Scottish Championships in Stirlingshire! – Aria





We went to Park Farm for cross country. There was a girls P4/5 800m race, then a boys P4/5 800m race. We then moved onto the P6/7 girls and they ran 1200m and then the P6/7 boys ran the same. We all tried our best and Ollie also got the Meritorious Award! – Amelia








We had an Easter Egg hunt! We looked for them everywhere outside, my one was very tricky! – Ollie




We were making plastic pollution posters. We were also putting the right object on the right bin. – Aurelia







We were making nests outside for birds. My group used moss, wood, grass, sticks, stones, pebbles, leaves and flowers. – Finley















4.3.26 – 23.3.26
For World Book Day we got to wear non school uniform or you could dress as your favourite character from a book. You also got to bring in a book of your choice. We could design the book cover or make a new one. I brought in ‘The extremely embarrassing life of Lottie Brookes’. – Amelia





We had our last session of football with QOS. We were dribbling, passing and shooting. We also played some games. – Aurelia











I took part in a Scottish School Swimming competition! I got PB’s in all of my races and got a bronze medal for a 50m butterfly! – Aria
For Ram Tam we have been doing the beat on drums and singing songs. We were also using the shaker eggs. – Kayden




We have been doing a running club to get ready for the cross country coming up! – Leo & Ollie














We had to make something that is deep under the sea out of crisp packets. My group made a fish! – Connor




We were making junk models of animals to do with the water in groups. We made a turtle. – Arleigh


We went to Lockerbie Manor. We took part in a lot of activities like climbing, abseiling, fencing, archery and high ropes. My favourite was the high ropes and it ended with a zipline! I enjoyed having the sleepover and the food was good! – Aria
















For Red Nose Day we wore something red. We had a scavenger hunt for red noses, we made some red noses on a big sheet of paper and then had a competition of the best joke. We also decorated some cookies to look like noses and made our own noses by sticking a picture on a red ball. We raised £23.50! – Indie






















25.2.26 – 3.3.26

The lacrosse team got a certificate for taking part!

We were playing games at breakfast club. I like playing Uno! – Ollie



With QOS we were dribbling and we played a mini football game. – Connor





Sophie came down to the school to collect our cheque that we raised for the Lochfoot Gala. – Ollie
We were making posters of our new topic Reduce, Re-use and Recycle. We made these in groups, one group is still yet to finish. I enjoyed making these and drawing the pictures! – Aurelia









18.2.26 – 24.2.26
We were making fact files about moons and planets for our space topic. I made one for Uranus and one of it’s 28 moons called Miranda. – Aurelia




Queen of the South came into do some football with us. We had a go at some dribbling and shooting practice. I enjoy playing football! – Leo



Rosa has moved school and we had a little party for her. We had cupcakes and gave Rosa a present. – Millie





We went on a litter pick around the village. With the rubbish we found, we made a picture in groups of an animal. There wasn’t too much litter but this is a good thing! – Ollie


















11.2.26 – 17.2.26

The school value was safety and Aurelia won it! Kayden got Pupil of the Week!
For assembly Mr Peacock came in. He was telling us to sometimes take the extra mile and also talking about travelling. Then me, Aria and Amelia read a poem called ‘The good Samaritan’. – Indie


We were drawing and learning about astronauts. We drew the astronaut and added detail. We then coloured the visor in and added a flag and our name onto the suit. – Aurelia








We were learning about Music Lab with Miss Cochrane. We made our own music by putting lots of sounds together, we then showed everyone our music. The younger children were learning about Word Online. – Arleigh










Me and India went to a K’nex challenge at Springholm. We had to build climbing frame equipment, on it we had to have something that would move with a lever. We had 5 minutes to plan and 55 minutes to build. We built a slide and a swing beside each other. There were 6 other schools there. We didn’t win but we had fun! – Amelia





We were making up some dramas pretending to be astronauts in rockets and blasting off! We were also making similar sounds to the sounds we could hear outside using the musical instruments. – Ollie





We went to Annan Academy for lacrosse. We learned about the skills and played some games there. It was fun and I enjoy playing lacrosse! – Aria
The P5/6’s have been going to Shawhead to do some badminton. We have learned how to serve the shuttlecock. We also had a go at hitting it back and for to each other in groups. Whoever managed to hit it past the line went through to play someone else. I have enjoy playing badminton! – Kayden









21.1.26 – 10.2.26
For our last gymnastics session with Ross we started with a stretching warm up, then we had the climbing frame out with a bar that you could swing over. We were also balancing and using the spring board. – Ollie








We were making rockets out of different things from the class. I made my one out of magnetic shapes. We then wrote a story of an adventure with the rocket, my one went to the dark side of the moon! – Connor











We went to Dalbeattie for Jigs and Reels. We took part in some Scottish country dancing with other schools for the day. It was very fun! – Aurelia




Some parents came in to help build our new climbing frame. There are monkey bars, a triangle pyramid that you can climb up and go inside and also a box where you can go inside and climb on top of it. I am enjoying playing with these! – Finley









14.1.25 – 20.1.26

We were colouring in the planets the right colour for our space topic. – Aria




On Friday we had a fun afternoon for pre-schoolers. We had the climbing frame, spots and mats out, we also had benches you could climb on. We then read a story to them, used the arts and crafts and had some free play where they could choose what they wanted to do. – Amelia


















We added houses to our paintings to make it look like nighttime. We used crayons to make these. – Leo







For gymnastics we were doing some balancing and jumping. We were learning how to land on our feet with the spring board. We had the horse out this week to go on and also the mats for different rolls. My favourite roll is the the handstand into a shoulder roll. – Kayden









Last week in groups we took pictures of things in the playground. This week we searched for the pictures and when we found them we marked it on the map that we got. – Aurelia










6.1.26 – 13.1.26
I made a vehicle that can drive, fly and be in the water using Knex. – Arleigh



We were learning about Hanukkah for our Rights Respecting School badge, we have been learning about different holidays. We learned about the food they eat on this holiday and how long it lasts for. – Amelia


We have been making microlights with the Knex in pairs. My one has a propeller on the stick holding the wings up! – Finley









We were learning about a programme called Scratch. We first played with the coding using some haggis and made a background for them. We then copied our new Scots poem on to it and then we could listen to it back. – Kayden



We were recreating Van Gogh paintings. We made different textures with the paint using glue spreaders and cardboard. We are going to add to them next week. – Aria






We were doing some outdoor learning and we were drawing pictures of what we could see and hear outside. I saw the Christmas Tree and heard a lot of wind! – Aurelia
