P5 Term 3 Newsletter
Community Term 2 with Mrs Lynn
In Community with Mrs Lynn the P1-4’s have been doing things for people around the community. Firstly, they started a food collection for a Food Bank. They collected lots and lots of food!
The other thing they did was make wreaths and take them to local business’ and groups around the community.
Heathhall School Christmas Play “Babushka”
In December of 2018 the lower school classes did a Christmas show. For the show they decided on doing Babushka. The show was great and all the children were stars!

Design and Manufacture Term 2 with Mrs Brown
Last term a group of pupils took part in Design and Manufacture during Skills Academy.
They looked at how to print on fabric and create letters in a design process. They then designed and made a cushion which they then personalised.
They also made a no-sew penguin or snowman using a sock!
They developed their creativity skills and had to work together when attaching fabrics. They also learnt how to sew!
Fun was had by all!

P6/7 Newsletter Term 3
What Primary 5 are learning this term 2
Primary 5 are learning lots this term. In P.E they have been doing dancing and they have been doing the cascassian circle, flying scots man. They’ve been doing Gymnastics as well as a routine.
In maths P5 have been learning about four digit adding and subtraction.
When Diwalia was going on P5 started learning about Rama and Sita and the evil king Rannava and learnt about what they do for celebrations such as Diwalia is an national holiday in many countries and they light Diva lamp and they do art and that art looks like a lotus flower.
In French they’ve been learning about colours and sizes.
In art for Halloween p5 did a haunted house with paint , paper, and coloured pens.
They’ve been learning about homophones in literacy.
They wrote a letter to companies in the industrial estate asking for money and it worked because they got a £200 pounds cheque for the school.
