Cyber Resilience in Primary 6
Primary 6 have been creating posters on cyber resilience and how to stay safe online. We worked on our own on this task. We also looked at scenario blether stations about sharing information online. We had to identify the information in each scenario that should not be shared online.
Safer Internet Day
Tuesday 11th February was Safer Internet Day.
The Young Digital Leaders visited every class in the school to share ways in which children can be safer when using the internet.
With the infant classes they discussed the way they can feel when using the internet as well as trusted adults they can speak to.
With the upper classes they investigated signs to look for to decide if someone is trying to scam us as well as ways people can ‘phish’ for your private and personal information.
The Young Digital Leaders loved being teachers for the day!
Air Pollution
On Thursday 13th February Briony from Sustrans came to talk to us about air pollution. She shared information about the effect cars and lorries can have on our environment. We also discussed what we could do to help.
Afterwards we went outside to look for lichen in the playground. She taught us about the different types of lichen and what that can tell us about the air quality where they are found.
