P3/4 Viking Longhouses

We have been learning about the daily life of the Vikings. We researched what their houses were like and created models.

We worked together, shared ideas, chose our own materials to use, created, problem-solved and then gave a guided tour of each model.

Some us chose to apply our digital technology skills by creating our models using Lego Builder online.

We hope you enjoy watching our clips and learning what the Viking homes were like.

P3/4 Enterprise

Primary 3/4 pupils developed a range of skills for learning, life and work while running their own Enterprise. They shared ideas, listened and responded to others, reached agreements, used their creativity, planned, designed, evaluated, improved, problem-solved, worked independently and with others. They created persuasive posters, took responsibility for collecting and recording money received and were excited to deliver the Tartan Friends to their new homes. Fantastic skills everyone!

Safer Internet Day

Tuesday 6th February was Safer Internet Day 20024. At Heathhall Primary School every class looked at the message for this year’s Safer Internet Day. It was based on the way Technology is changing and how to keep ourselves safe within this every changing world.

Each class carried out activities based around staying safe while using the internet. Children took part in online workshops, created posters and played games.

The Young Digital Leaders visited every class to share this message with the children. They shared stories, had discussions and even sang a little song!

P1 STEM challenge

Grampy Rabbit got stuck at the top of an Icy Mountain. We needed to help him get back home. We had to design and create a model of a jetpack to help him. Our jet packs needed a control panel, straps and fuel tanks.

“I could make my jetpack better by putting a compass on it. That way you’d know where you are going.” Jensen

“It was fun making a jetpack, The Sellotape was a bit tricky, but Max helped me.” Jude

“I wish I could have made flames coming out of the fuel tanks to make it look more real.” Florence
