Health and Wellbeing Day at DHS

On Tuesday 14th November P7 attended Dumfries High School to take part in a cluster Health and Wellbeing Day.

The children were split into different groups and got a chance to meet children from different schools across the Dumfries High School cluster primary schools.

Throughout the day P7 took part in different activities including working with the school captains, the sports leaders, the school Police Officer, PC McKerlie and different teachers from Dumfries High School.

Everyone had a great day and this gave them all another chance to experience life at secondary school.

Class display boards

We wanted to share some of our fantastic work currently displayed in our classroom and corridor.  We are so proud of it!  What do you think?

We have been reading ‘Fantastic Mr Fox’ By Roald Dahl.  We created the farmers using lots of different materials and we wrote character descriptions.

We created these beautiful pumpkins using fine black pens to create line patterns, we then added autumnal colours.

P3 Forest Visit

On Friday 3rd November we went to Heathhall Forest with Briony from Sustrans.  We had a lovely morning in the Autumn sunshine!

We had to collect lots of different leaves, then we tried to organise them by size and type.  We also looked at the different leaves and worked out what trees they came from.

We were also lucky enough to see a white horse going for a walk through the forest!
