“Plant a Tree for the Jubilee”.
Heathhall School were invited to assist in planting a tree for the Queen’s Jubilee. The Queen’s Green Canopy is a unique tree planting initiative created to mark Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee in 2022 which invites people from across the United Knigdom to “Plant a Tree for the Jubilee”.
On Monday 7th March 2022 a small group of pupils from Heathhall, and other members of the community, took part in the tree planting with the Lord Lieutenant of Dumfries, Fiona Armstrong. The tree planting took place at Martinton Road, Heathhall (Across from Nithdale Vets).

Children in P2/3 have been learning about 2D and 3D shape in maths. We can identify the 2D faces of 3D shapes and we can name the 3D shape. We decided to look for 3D shapes in our environment. Can you see what we found?

At Heathhall School we welcome and encourage the involvement of all partners in promoting effective learning for children to enable them to develop skills for Learning, Life and Work across all aspects of the curriculum. This document aims to capture this for the school year and although this has been more difficult this year due to COVID restrictions we have taken opportunities to work with partners where possible.
