Trip to Drumlanrig Castle! – May

On Wednesday 28th May, we visited Drumlanrig Castle.  We had a guided tour around many rooms of the castle.  It was beautiful!

We then had an early picnic lunch and spent the afternoon in the adventure playground and rolling down the hills in the gardens – this was definitely a highlight!!

Thank you to the staff at Drumlanrig Castle and our parent helpers for coming along.  We all had a great day out.

Garden Development – May

P4D have been busy planning their garden!  Each class has been given responsibility of a garden plot that they will plan, plant, grow and look after.  We have lots of ideas in the class and have been making plans in pairs.  We can wait to get started…there is a lot of work to do!

This is our garden space…

We will keep you updated with our progress!

A Scottish Visitor – January

On the 22nd January we had a visit from Jane Brown.  Jane was the president of the Burns Howff Club in Dumfries and she also ran The Globe Inn for over 20 years.  She recited some Burns poetry and shared lots of her knowledge!  She answered all of our questions, and there was a lot!!

Jane also brought in lots of Burns memorabilia that she has collected over the years, including her presidential medals.
