Algorithms in P4/5

We have been learning all about algorithms.

We wrote an algorithm to create a crazy creature. We then created algorithms to code the mice and Botleys. After that we moved on to creating an algorithm in groups in order to move us all along a grid. Now we are creating an algorithm to teach the class so we can all dance to a song!

Mice and Botleys!

The children have been enjoying learning all about algorithms and coding.

The Parent Council recently helped to finance the purchase of some new digital technology resources. We have been using these in all the classes throughout the school.

The children are having great fun operating the new Mice and Botleys! They are developing their skills in coding as well as developing their ability to follow directions and writing instructions.

Getting Started in Primary 4!

In Primary 4 we created our own flying bugs. We wrote about things we were good at and things we are aiming to achieve.

We introduced ourselves in a letter to our new teacher and filled our heads with pictures about us!

We thought about what our strengths were.

On a Thursday afternoon we do STEM activities.

We did science and looked at CHROMATOGRAPHY!

We did maths and looked at Grid References.

We built models with the KAPLA!

We designed boats with the MakeDo!
