This term P3,4,5 have been cooking and tasting some traditional Scottish dishes with our H.E. teacher Mrs Farquhar.

Last week the pupils made cranachan, a tasty dessert made from yogurt, berries and biscuits.

Today the pupils made haggis and neep parcels, as an acknowledgement of Robert Burns’ birthday yesterday.

There were plenty of positive comments from everyone, even though a few were unsure about tasting haggis.

‘I don’t like haggis, but this is lovely’ – Finlay

‘It’s so yummy!’ – Elizabeth

Next week we will be using our cutting skills to chop a variety of vegetables for our lentil soup…yum!
