Friday Fun Time for the Playground Improvement Team (PITs) and Gardening Club was a busy session. We began with making a ‘mood-board’ of our favourite plants, colours and textures and then added ideas of what we would like to see in our outdoor space. The pupils worked wonderfully together, with the older pupils helping the younger ones choose suitable flowers, plants, fruit and veg. We also had a great discussion about the things we felt could improve our playground, like benches, planters and art installations.

 

Our mood-board is displayed in the foyer for all to see. Please have a look and add to it if you have any ideas that you feel would make our outdoor space the best it can be.

 

Then we were planted some gorgeous smelling lavender that will hopefully be used in a sensory garden.
