As an end to our Farming IDL project, P3,4,5 took a visit to the Edgar’s farm at Newfield yesterday afternoon. The pupils had a fantastic time and were able to use and increase their extensive farming knowledge.
The pupils held and fed two pet lambs, chicks and ducklings and even helped Mr Edgar with feeding his cows! Being able to have a seat in a tractor was also a big hit! The pupils got to see a brand new calf, born that morning…after-birth and all (look out for the graphic pictures below!)
An exciting experience of a working farm.
Many thanks again to the Edgar family for allowing us to visit.
Mrs Devlin and P3,4,5
