Kells children made there way to the New Galloway War memorial on Friday 10th November to pay their respects to those who fought and died in war. P1-3 children made 2 poppy wreaths to place on the memorial. Ruby, Izak, Jennifer, Hannah and Sophie  read out poems they had written, and Amy read out the Poem ‘In Flanders Field’. Mr Scrimshaw played The Last Post on his trumpet which added a sombre note to the occasion.
