P1-3 have again been outdoors in all weather to tend to the Kells vegetable garden. A whole session was spent weeding the plots, and this week Jackie Povall came in to help the children plant potatoes, carrots and strawberries. The children will be responsible for watering and weeding the plots for the next few months, before harvesting the produce. The children will then create healthy menus using the food harvested and cook a healthy lunch. Many thanks to Jackie for giving up her time to support the school.
