Well Done Dylan

Dylan’s family has left a comment to say how delighted they are with his certificate:

“Dylan was so proud of himself when he came home with his special award, as were we, 🙂 he was so excited to show and tell everyone about it. Mummy, Daddy and Brooke are so proud of you Dylan, and at how well ur doing at nursery, -you are a wee star. ☆keep up the good work ♡♡ xxx”

That is a lovely smile in your photo Dylan. You certainly should be proud of your achievements. Well done!

Family Pride

Emma and Ben’s families were both delighted with their certificates and left us comments to say how proud they are:

“Well done Emma. Very proud mummy, daddy and wee sister. Have enjoyed hearing all about Autumn. You’ve certainly learned a lot.”

“Ben was so excited to FaceTime his Nannie and Poppie in Edinburgh when he came home from nursery with his first certificate. We’re all so very proud of him. Well done Ben. X”

Ben’s family also liked the photo of him measuring Captain Furrybeard:

“Good measuring Ben, wonder if Captain Furrybeard was the same height as you!!”

We did talk a lot about who was biggest and smallest. It was certainly tricky getting Captain Furrybeard’s ship the right size but the children made a good job of it.

Danielle and the Pirate Ship

Danielle’s family enjoyed the photos of the children making their pirate ship:

“lovely flag danielle we are so proud of you xx”

“danielle you look so good with your friends nice pirate ship”

The children did work very well together on this activity. It’s amazing what fantastic play can develop from a wooden box.

Benji The PlayTalkRead Bus

Benji Dumfries & Galloway September 2015 digitalBenji, the PlayTalkRead bus, will be at Hecklegirth tomorrow, Tuesday 22nd September. This is a great, free early years initiative which is open to parents, carers and children in the area to come along and enjoy some free activities. All local families are welcome between 10.00-1.00 and 2.00-4.00. The bus will be hosting free storytelling and rhythm sessions and a range of play and activity sessions for children and their parents, to promote and raise awareness of the benefits of positive parental engagement with simple free activities which parents can take home, with the aim that they build upon the ideas and activities sessions at home with their children.

Day Of The Region

As well as having her super picture on display, Kacey’s family has been telling us about her taking part in other activities on Day of the Region in Annan:

“Kacey enjoyed all the day of the region activities she was dancing on Friday and Saturday and released a balloon with her name on…x”

Sounds like you’ve had a great time Kacey. Well done with your dancing! It certainly was a good day for all involved.

We Love Annan

We hope that lots of you enjoyed the fun activities in gorgeous sunshine at Annan’s Day of the Region today. It really was lovely to see so many families and community groups taking part with such enthusiasm. The super pictures that you made of your favourite places and activities in Annan were displayed on the Nursery windows, along with others from Hecklegirth and other local schools and we thought that they looked wonderful. If you didn’t get a chance to see them all today, here is a selection of your ideas and drawings.

Kenzie Beats The Street

ken What a super photo of Kenzie out and about in Annan on “Beat the Street”. She’s been going out on her bike with her Mum to get healthy while having lots of fun and earning points. Well done Kenzie – keep up the good work. Thank you to Kenzie’s Mum for her action photo.  I  wonder if anyone else has been taking part with their families?

Rhyme Fun

Two of our families have commented on how much they enjoyed the Family Learning activity.
