Good Work!

Joshua H’s Mum likes the photos of the children decorating the Christmas tree:

“I love how Joshua concentrating on putting the christmas decorations on the tree. Good wee boy, what I love to see.”

She also kindly left a message for all the boys and girls who helped with the tree:

“Good work everyone, it’s looking very good ☺”

We think that they made a lovely job of it too. Well done everyone.

Christmas Make and Take

Eileen Johnstone, our Family Learning Co-ordinator, has added two more sessions for the Christmas Make and Take activity to help out those who were not available on the original dates. You can also now take part on Tuesday December 13th at 9.00-9.45 or 12.15-1.00. A new grid has been added to the others on top of the trays in the red and blue cloakroom so please feel free to add your name if you have not already chosen a slot.

Activity Bags Library

story-sackWe would like to remind you that tomorrow, Tuesday 22nd November, is the first day for our activity bags “library”. The bags will be given out from the Family Learning room opposite the school hall.
If your child attends morning sessions you can collect a bag at the end of the session from Eileen, our Family Learning Co-ordinator. The bag should then be returned the following Tuesday at the start of the morning session. Please leave the returned bag on your child’s peg and Eileen will collect it from there.
If your child attends Nursery in the afternoon you can collect a bag when you bring your child at the start of the session. You should bring your bag to the Family Learning room when you collect a new one.
If you would like an activity bag but can’t collect on a Tuesday please let Eileen know and she will try to make alternative arrangements.

Special Books

We hope that you have enjoyed looking through the children’s special books with them at home. We would like to remind you to please return them tomorrow, Wednesday 16th November, along with the comment sheet which will be added to your child’s book as part of our ongoing evaluation.
Thank you to those who have already taken the time to share their thoughts with us about their child’s progress. We greatly value your views.

Delicious Vegetables

Two of our families are pleased to see the photos of the children trying different vegetables in the snack area.

“Good girl Chloe. Mummy and daddy are really pleased you like lots of different vegetables. These look delicious.”

“Nice to see Owen trying red pepper. He loves breadsticks!”

The snack area is always popular and it is encouraging when we see the children happy to try different types of foods.

Operation Christmas Child

We would like to remind you that anyone who wishes to donate the gift of a Christmas shoebox should bring them in to Nursery by this Friday, 11th November. Operation Christmas Child is the world’s largest children’s Christmas project and your kind donations will be sent to needy children who will undoubtedly be delighted with your gifts. Thank you so much to those families who have already donated a shoebox, it is greatly appreciated. Here are some of the children with their boxes ready to be collected.
