Just as in the morning, the afternoon children showed themselves to be confident individuals at their graduation ceremony on Monday and we loved the happy smiles on everybody’s face. Thank you also to all the family and friends who formed a super audience – we really appreciate your support. We hope that you enjoy this little snapshot of our day.
We were all so proud of the children at our graduation ceremony earlier this week as they sang and danced to celebrate their year in Nursery. They showed great confidence to perform to their families and then to walk on stage on their own to shake hands and receive their certificates.
Thank you to Mrs. Alexander and Mr. Palmer for taking time to present the children with their awards and for being so patient to pose with each child so that a precious family photo could be taken. Thank you also to all the family and friends who attended our little ceremony and for your support throughout the year.

As promised, here is a selection of photos of the afternoon children enjoying all the different activities on our recent visit to Farmer’s Den. We would like to say a huge thank you to the HFA for paying for all the Nursery children to have a session at Farmer’s Den to celebrate our year in Nursery. Not only did the children run, jump and climb with boundless energy but they enjoyed a snack with their teddies and took some time out to draw and build when they needed a little rest. Those special teddies also had great fun trying to catch the bubbles from the bubble machine that was turned on after our little picnic so it was a busy day for all. I wonder if anyone can spot their teddy having a little rest on the settee in one of our photos?

One of the parents of our buddies has been looking at the photos of the older children helping our children in the playground:

We think that some good relationships are being formed to support our children’s transition to Primary 1. Primary 6 are really showing themselves to be responsible citizens.
There have been some excited Nursery children in the school playground over the past couple of weeks when the children moving to Hecklegirth P1 in August went out to play.
After visiting the playground when no other children were there, they then joined the rest of the school for a visit at break and lunch times. Despite it being a very busy time, the buddies ensured that all the children were confident and happy to try out the different areas of the playground, the field and the timber trails. It was wonderful to see how much the children had grown in confidence to visit different areas of the school thanks to some super support from Primary 6. Just look at all those happy faces! Hopefully we will manage another visit to the playground soon. Well done P6 buddies! You are doing a super job!
