Oats and Beans and Barley Grow

We hope that you are all remembering our Harvest celebration tomorrow at 11.30 for the morning children and 2.30 for those in the afternoon. Dylan’s Mum liked our photos of the children practising:

“We are really looking forward to joining u all 2morrow as well, we cant wait to hear all the boys and girls lovely singing voices, Dylan has been practising lots at home, we all now know the words to oats and beans and barley grow off by heart, he sings it that much lol xx”

Well done Dylan, singing your songs at home. We hope lots of our families join us as the children seem to be looking forward to having an audience.

Autumn Flower

Two of our families have commented on how much they like the Rainbow Room’s “Autumn Flower” scarecrow. Ben’s Mum said:

“I think Autumn Flower is a fantastic scarecrow. I love your ideas, very creative. Looks like you had great fun making it.”

Dylan’s Mum thought Autumn Flower was super too:

“Wow! I think all the boys and girls have made a fantastic job of creating Autumn Flower, she looks amazing you can see how well they have worked together, and how much fun they all had in the process, well done everybody xxx”

It was great fun and so many children contributed to designing and making the scarecrow that it really is a super example of teamwork. Well done everyone!

Family Comments

Wareesha’s grandfather enjoyed the photos of everyone dressed up for Superhero Day:

“A colourful day. Beautiful dresses.”

Paulina’s family is also pleased with the photo of her with her certificate:

“Well done our big girl. We are so proud of you x”

It’s great to hear that our families are accessing the blog and we love to hear your comments.

Callum’s Sunflower

Callum paid a visit to Nursery today from Primary 1 to show us photos of the sunflower he had grown from the seed he planted in Nursery last term. As you can see, he has looked after his sunflower very well and has shown great gardening skills to grow his plant to an enormous seven feet two inches which we reckon converts to 2.18 metres.
Well done Callum for showing super growing skills and thank you very much for bringing your photos to show us. I wonder if anyone else has photos of their sunflowers grown from the seed planted in Nursery?

Thank You

Two families have left comments on our recent photos.
Luca’s Dad was delighted with his certificate:

“Well done big guy, daddy very proud of you”

Wareesha’s grandfather was impressed with the photo of her contributing to the creation of our scarecrow and left a lovely comment:

“Very creative activity. All the staff members are very helpful and encouraging. I appreciate.”

Thank you both for leaving us a comment. It’s great to know that our families are accessing the blog and we love to hear your comments.

From a Small Seed …

sunflower

Last term the children planted sunflower seeds and took them home as seedlings, having learned how to care for them to make them grow. Mollie’s Mum has sent us this photo of the sunflower that she looked after and said,

“From a small seed……..

Shame I didn’t get Mollie in photo too!”

That is indeed a huge sunflower to have grown from a small seed Mollie. Well done for looking after it so well and thank you for sending us a photo.

Well Done Dylan

Dylan’s family has left a comment to say how delighted they are with his certificate:

“Dylan was so proud of himself when he came home with his special award, as were we, 🙂 he was so excited to show and tell everyone about it. Mummy, Daddy and Brooke are so proud of you Dylan, and at how well ur doing at nursery, -you are a wee star. ☆keep up the good work ♡♡ xxx”

That is a lovely smile in your photo Dylan. You certainly should be proud of your achievements. Well done!
